Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to receive 30 kilometers of new corridor Vc by the end of 2025
17.02.2025

By the end of 2025, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will benefit from the construction of approximately 30 kilometers of new Corridor Vc, significantly improving the country’s transportation infrastructure. These new sections will shorten travel times on the M-17 main road, making travel to both the north and south of the country, as well as to neighboring Croatia, faster and more efficient for both passengers and freight carriers.

The new infrastructure projects include sections from Putnikovo Brdo to Medakovo (8.5 km) near Tešanj, Stara Stanica to Golubinja (10 km) near Zenica, and Buna to Počitelj (7.2 km) in the south of the country. Additionally, the Republika Srpska Highway Authority has announced the opening of the Kostajnica to Putnikovo Brdo section, which is about 5.6 kilometers long.

With the opening of these new sections, citizens will be able to travel on highways from Sarajevo to Zenica, then via the main road to Nemila, followed by the highway to Golubinja, with a connection to the highway toward Gradiška. A new functional 7.2-kilometer stretch in Herzegovina, from Počitelj to the border with Croatia, will also be completed. The Republika Srpska Highway Authority has announced that the Doboj bypass will be finished by the end of the year, connecting to the highway already running through Republika Srpska toward Gradiška.

This development of transportation infrastructure will contribute to faster and safer travel through Bosnia and Herzegovina, bringing long-term benefits to both citizens and the country's economy./ Večernji.ba
