State Secretary Milas expressed satisfaction with the level of development and equipment at the University of Mostar, emphasizing the importance of investing in education and infrastructure as key elements for the future of young generations. "I am impressed with what I have seen. This University is an example of how investment in knowledge and infrastructure creates an environment where students not only acquire the knowledge necessary for success in their future careers but also actively engage in social life, sports, and culture, which is extremely important. The Government of the Republic of Croatia, together with the Central State Office for Croats Abroad, will continue to support SUM," said Milas. He paid special attention to the online learning classroom, equipped with the latest technology, providing students with the opportunity to attend and participate in lectures regardless of their geographic location.

The University of Mostar leads in the field of digital transformation through the SUMIT (Center for Information Technologies) SUMIT has made significant strides in achieving its mission to build a digitally mature university over the past five years. SUMIT is also a leader in the digital transformation of primary and secondary schools and successfully competes in projects funded by EU funds. Additionally, during the visit to the Smart Classroom, students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Computing, and Electrical Engineering, members of the Formula Student FSRacing Team, presented the delegation with a project called Formula Student Car, the third prototype in order.

The Office for Students with Disabilities, which provides support to persons with disabilities, was another important part of the visit. Milas emphasized that accessibility and inclusiveness in education are the foundations of a just society. As preparations are underway for the annual Humanitarian Event of the Office for Students with Disabilities of the University of Mostar, the Office received donations of handball and footballs, as well as a jersey from the Croatian football club HŠK Zrinjski with signatures from State Secretary Zvonko Milas, President of the HNS Academician Čović, Mayor Kordić, and other members of the delegation.

The donated balls will be offered at an auction planned as part of the Humanitarian Event for the SUM Foundation, with all proceeds going towards scholarships for students with disabilities, students without adequate parental care, and students from lower-income families at the University of Mostar.

State Secretary Milas' visit highlighted the strong support provided by the Republic of Croatia to the University of Mostar, the only higher education institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina where classes are taught in the Croatian language. It reaffirmed the joint commitment to education, science, and development as the foundations for a better future for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia.
