At the Scientific Day of the MoStart conference, one of the keynote speakers will be Prof. Branko Žitko, PhD., a Full Professor at the Faculty of Science, University of Split, and an expert in intelligent tutoring systems, natural language processing, and knowledge representation.

In his talk titled "Extraction of Concept Map from Semantic Hypergraph", Professor Žitko will present innovative methods for automatically generating concept maps from semantic hypergraphs. These methods enable the visual organization and representation of knowledge, relying on techniques such as dependency analysis, semantic role labeling, and coreference resolution.

The lecture will showcase the process of transforming textual data into concept maps through three key steps: identifying core concepts, classifying them, and aggregating data into structured representations. Additionally, it will compare automatically generated concept maps with manually created ones and evaluate simplification rules for reducing complexity.
