As part of the central theme "Innovative Technologies in Education: Gamification, Mobile Learning and Augmented Reality" as well as the Education Day of the Mostart 2025 International Conference, an interesting conversation entitled "New Reality - Technology and Identity in Contemporary Society" will be held. This panel offers an educational perspective on technology, exploring how digital transformation shapes identity and daily life for new generations. Except for these important topics, the experts will discuss the positive impact of video games on learning and how new technologies can enhance student engagement, improve educational processes and provide a more personalized learning experience.
Technology has become an integral part of modern education and growing up. From an early age, children interact with digital devices, while educational institutions increasingly integrate technological solutions into the learning process. But how does this shift impact cognitive abilities, social skills and emotional development? How can we balance the benefits of technology with the challenges it presents in education and identity formation?
The discussion will feature distinguished experts in the fields of pedagogy and child development who will provide insights into these questions. Dr. Ranko Rajović, PhD, a specialist in internal medicine and neuroendocrinology, is the founder and head of the Department of Neuroscience in Education at the Faculty of Education in Koper. He is also the creator of the NTC Learning System, a member of the Board of Directors of Mensa International, and the president of Mensa’s Global Committee for Gifted Children. Joining him will be Prof. Siniša Opić, PhD, a full member of the Croatian Academy of Educational Sciences and head of the Department of Pedagogy, Andragogy, Didactics, and Educational Sciences.
The MoStart 2025 conference will take place from April 23 to 25 in Mostar, organized by the University of Mostar and the Center for Information Technologies SUMIT, with support from numerous local and international institutions.
