11.04.2024

The "Collegium Artisticum 2024" exhibition opened on April 5, 2024, at the Skenderija Center. This is the 45th exhibition showcasing the works of Bosnian-Herzegovinian artists, designers, and architects, and awards and recognitions for the best achievements were presented at the exhibition opening according to the decisions of the association's expert commissions.

The international jury of Collegium Artisticum 2024 - Architecture, consisting of Maruša Zorec from Slovenia, Tonči Čerina from Croatia, and Željko Kusić from Bosnia and Herzegovina, decided to highlight four important categories - realization, idea, interior, and journalistic work. They selected 30 works out of 46 submissions.

AWARD FOR IDEA: PAVILION OF ARCHITECTURE STUDY AT THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS RODOČ IN MOSTAR, 2023 – Ana Bogdanović; thesis mentor: Petar Mišković

Ana Bogdanović completed her undergraduate studies in Architecture and Urbanism at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Geodesy, University of Mostar. She completed her graduate studies in Architecture and Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 2023, with her thesis focusing on the Pavilion of Architecture Study at the university campus Rodoč in Mostar under the mentorship of Professor Petar Mišković.

"In the project of creating space for organizing graduate studies, the author identifies the possibilities of a very simple existing building and precisely adds a small number of elements that, both in their arrangement and clarity, transform the existing into a complex of faculty workshops and classrooms. Five years of study leave their imprints in the form of individualized entrances, accompanying staircases, and shed roofs above the workshops, clearly differentiating from the existing building, yet simultaneously making it an irresistible functional whole - one faculty. The ambiguity of all added parts suggests that it is not about a frozen image of a house with only one purpose but that it is capable of accommodating different purposes, spatial organizations, or users in the future," the jury members explained.

Congratulations to our architect Ana Bogdanović on receiving the award, and we look forward to the exhibition in Mostar.
