The Science Day at the MoStart conference will feature a keynote lecture by Prof. Irena Galić, PhD., one of the leading speakers in the Artificial Intelligence Applications track. She will present on "Machine Learning in Medical Image Analysis," offering insights into the latest advancements in this rapidly growing field.
In her talk, Prof. Galić will explore how machine learning enhances medical image analysis, playing a crucial role in modern healthcare by enabling more precise diagnostics and personalized treatment approaches.
Prof. Dr. Irena Galić is a full professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT). She leads the Department of Software Engineering and the Research Group for Computing and Human-Computer Interaction. Her extensive academic background includes studies at J. J. Strossmayer University in Osijek and Saarland University, where she participated in the Max Planck Research School for Computer Science program.
Alongside Prof. Galić, Science Day will welcome other distinguished experts, with more than 40 researchers presenting their work. The MoStart conference will take place from April 23 to 25 at the SUMIT building, University of Mostar (Rodoč campus).
