University of Mostar develops STEM training platform to bridge education and labor market needs
28.08.2025

The University of Mostar is implementing a project titled Development of a Platform for Vocational Training of Participants in STEM Fields for Labor Market Needs, supported by the Federal Ministry of Civil Affairs through the grant Support for Technical Culture and Innovation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The new platform will enable stronger connections between the university, participants, and employers, representing a significant step forward in improving STEM education and strengthening the link between the academic sector and the economy.

Through the platform, employers will be able to create company profiles, define the specific skills they seek in employees, and propose personalized training programs or courses to be developed and delivered at the University of Mostar. In this way, educational programs will be flexibly adapted to industry needs and modern standards, while participants will acquire concrete and in-demand skills.

This initiative allows employers to actively participate in shaping educational programs, while providing participants with access to relevant and flexible training that enhances their competitiveness in the labor market. The platform will also contribute to the organization of professional workshops, seminars, and conferences, further encouraging adaptation to new technologies and business trends, according to the University of Mostar.

The platform will be available to all interested companies and individuals, and it will continuously collect feedback from employers and participants to improve the training programs.

With this project, the University of Mostar reinforces its role as a leading center for vocational training in STEM fields in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
