The Center for Information Technology at the University of Mostar - SUMIT, in collaboration with the IT-technical association Switch, announces the "Hackathon for High School Students." The aim of this competitive event is to inspire high school students to practically apply their knowledge of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The competition encourages teamwork and creative problem-solving, providing students with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, gain new experiences, and develop original ideas. SUMIT promotes raising awareness within society and the academic community about the importance of programming, a skill highly valued in the job market and continuously evolving. The Hackathon is an ideal platform for identifying talented students, with the goal of creating better conditions for their development and work.
The Hackathon consists of two parts, the elimination round and the final. Participants will seek optimal solutions for the given theme from March 4th to March 11th. The results of the first round will be announced on March 13th, while the final will take place on March 20th at 12:00 in Classroom 1-2 of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Education. The best participants will be awarded valuable prizes, and mentors will receive appropriate gifts.
Applications to participate in the Hackathon are open until February 28th. We invite all high school students to apply and participate in this exciting competition. Applications are possible for teams of up to four members. For registration and more information, visit the website: https://skole.hackathon.sum.ba
