Josip Cvitković from Mostar, after completing his medical studies at Capital Medical University in the People's Republic of China, is beginning a neurosurgery specialization at the renowned TianTan Hospital in Beijing. Cvitković is the only student from the former Yugoslavia to have successfully completed medical studies in the Chinese language, making his achievement even more impressive. Josip started his academic journey at the University of Mostar, where he gained his first student impressions and the basic knowledge needed for further education. "I learned how to study, how to learn, how to behave in the academic community, and that gave me the opportunity to broaden my horizons and move forward," Cvitković said.
Arriving in Beijing was a challenge, but also an opportunity for Josip. He expected the studies to be similar to those in Mostar, but soon realized that the differences were significant, both in terms of study methods and cultural context. In an interview for our show, Cvitković shared his experiences and impressions of life and studying in Beijing. The benefits of studying abroad are numerous, from gaining new perspectives and knowledge to experiencing different cultures and ways of life. In the new episode, you will have the opportunity to hear Josip’s personal impressions and experiences firsthand, and his story is an inspiration to all young people who choose to step out of their comfort zone in search of knowledge and personal growth.
