Organized by the Diving Club Mostar and at the invitation of the Association "Naš Rodoč," an ecological cleaning action of Lake Bezdan in Rodoč was held last Sunday.
Around twenty members of the Diving Club Mostar participated in cleaning Bezdan, removing a significant amount of waste, as reported by the club. They noted the removal of a larger number of tires from the water during the event.
The organizers from the association "Naš Rodoč" gathered about thirty locals from Rodoč and surrounding areas who assisted on land and in transporting the waste.
"We will continue to be at the service of the local population whose goal is to preserve our beautiful nature. We are all pleased with the great turnout of young people and children who provided significant support during today's action," said Branislav Stojkić, secretary of the Diving Club Mostar.
City councilor Stanko Ćosić, on behalf of the association, expressed gratitude for the large turnout of diver friends from Mostar who helped the locals clean Bezdan, stating that this action will become a tradition.
The gathering lasted long into Sunday afternoon, and the hosts ensured that diving in Bezdan was an unforgettable experience. Organizers confirmed that cleaning and ecological diving will indeed become a tradition, as stated in the announcement.
